With more than 2,200 five-star reviews and performances for brands like Google, Netflix, Amazon and Bulgari, Johnny brings both credibility and depth to the stage. Born in Taiwan and raised in Toronto, his journey from bullied immigrant kid to Netflix-featured performer shaped his core message: many of us are chasing a version of success we never consciously chose. Through storytelling and live demonstrations, he invites audiences to examine the invisible expectations shaping their path and to climb their own mountain with clarity and courage.

Long bio

Johnny Wu is a mentalist and keynote speaker who blends world-class illusion with psychology, identity and human performance. With more than 2,200 five-star reviews, he is one of the most highly reviewed entertainers in the United States, having performed for Google, Netflix, Amazon, Meta, Salesforce, Nike and Bulgari, and for public figures including Kris Jenner, Jessica Alba, Jamie Foxx, Magic Johnson and Taylor Swift.

But Johnny's work goes far beyond entertainment. Born in Taiwan and raised in Toronto, he immigrated at age twelve without speaking English. After enduring bullying and feeling invisible in a new country, he discovered magic as a tool for connection. What began as survival became mastery, and eventually a deeper realization: the most powerful illusions are not on stage. They are the invisible expectations shaping our identity and ambition.

Today Johnny's keynote, The Power of Micro Moments, shows audiences how the smallest decisions quietly shape performance, leadership and the future. His TEDx talk, Is Your Success Just an Illusion?, argues that many high achievers build impressive lives before ever questioning whether they chose them. He appeared on Netflix's Star Search and performed for 700 executives at Google HQ. Whether on stage for corporate leaders, students or multicultural communities, his message is clear: success is not about climbing higher. It is about making sure you are climbing your mountain.
